We moved to our downtown Rochester, Minnesota location inside the Odd Fellow Building, next to Peacock Books & Wildlife. Park in the Center Street Ramp or First Street Ramp and take either skyway over to us.

Silver Lake Books is a local independent bookstore serving Rochester, Minnesota and the surrounding communities since early 2018.

Silver Lake Books is a bricks-and-mortar bookstore and we offer thousands of our hand-curated titles through our online catalog only. 

Silver Lake Books sells new and used books in new, mint, good, used, a few ex-library copies along with a handful of heavily used conditions (sometimes this is the only way to find these treasured books!) in a wide variety of genres. 

We stock a rotating selection of  children's books, middle grade, young adult,  Christian books, fiction and non-fiction titles 

We carry most genres: art books, action, adventure, agriculture, arts, autobiography, biography, classics, cooking, diets, environment, essays, fantasy, graphic novels, health, historical, horror, nature, medical, memoir, music, mystery, political, self-help, science-fiction, suspense, thriller, WWII, westerns, and wildlife.

Our book inventory changes daily. We list some of our book inventory  on our websites, with or without photos and descriptions, but can answer your questions by phone when you place your order. Please call us with questions.

We maintain a book requests section on our site that we use to post book requests for our clients. Call us with your book request and we'll try and find you a copy.
